Acipen-V®

Acipen-V (fenoxymethylpenicilline) is a narrow-spectrum antibiotic of the penicillin type. It affects certain types of bacteria. It is stable in gastric acid but is inactivated by penicillinase (enzyme that breaks down penicillin).

Phenoxymethylpenicillin is used to treat non-severe to moderately severe infections caused by phenoxymethylpenicillin-sensitive micro-organisms, particularly Streptococci.
